As Director of Assurance Services, Jan began her career in public accounting in 2000 and has experience providing attestation support to construction, wholesale, and manufacturing companies, employee benefit plans, not-for-profit organizations, dealerships, healthcare, professional service firms and other commercial entities. Jan also has experience providing forensic accounting services to various entities over a vast array of industries, including expert witness support. Jan has comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all applicable standards as they relate to the performance of audits, reviews, agreed-upon procedures and compilations. Her years of experience also grant her the ability to be a valuable business advisor through various types of non-traditional assurance engagements.

After graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administratin from Texas Christian University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, Jan served in the assurance department of a large regional accounting firm. She also served as Controller for the United Way of Tarrant County, and prior to joining JTaylor, held a senior manager position in the audit department of a local accounting firm.

Licensed by the State of Texas as a Certified Public Accountant, Jan, when she’s not working, enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Additionally, she has been involved in a number of professional and community organizations, past and present, which include:
