In his role as Managing Partner, Michael leads the development and implementation of the firm's strategy and initiatives related thereto. Additionally, Michael offers a full complement of business advisory services to the firm’s clients, addressing a wide range of transactional and operational issues. Michael’s practice has a special emphasis in the healthcare industry, where he is recognized nationally for his expertise in the areas of new business formation, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture development, capital planning, managed care contracting, strategic planning, financial analysis and process development, physician compensation, and valuation of both service agreements and business enterprises. Michael has also assisted clients in areas involving claims dispute resolution.
Michael serves a large number of clients including multi-hospital systems, community hospitals, academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, physician-owned hospitals, physician group practices, healthcare real estate development firms, private equity and venture capital firms, banks, managed care payers, and health informatics organizations.
Michael has been a contributing author to the industry publication Healthcare Financial Management and served as a speaker to multiple organizations on healthcare related matters.
After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Science in Finance, Michael began his career as a consultant in the Business Consulting division of Arthur Andersen. Prior to joining JTaylor, he served as a Manager in the Health Sciences Advisory Services practice at Ernst & Young.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Michael has been actively involved, past and present, in the following civic, academic, and professional organizations:

Michael was honored by the Fort Worth Business Press in 2015 as one of Fort Worth's "40 Under 40."
